These criteria are intended to:

• Help identify patients who may be at higher perioperative risk
• Facilitate involvement of the anesthesiologist who will do the case to ensure adequate preop

When patients meeting any of these criteria are seen in preop clinic, clinic providers will alert the D1 for the planned day of surgery.  The D1 can assign and notify the anesthesia team for the case at their discretion.
